Adding a SunDeck

I have a old Wellcraft Airslot 185 with a outboard I am going to change the interior around and am looking to do a bench seat across the back with a sundeck for the ladies to hang out on. I am looking for pictures of simlar projects where you have taken out the doghouse that covers your inboard and added a sundeck, or adding a sundeck to any older boat the did not previously have one.

I have attached pictures of my current boat from an old brochure and I am wanting to do an interior something more like the one in the second picture where there is a big sundeck with rap around bench seat and then one pedestal seat for the driver. If anyone has any pictures of someone that has done something similar let me know.

Is your boat an I/o or Outboard? The first picture has both.

Mine is an outboard like the green one in the top picture

hit search bud.....tons of interior proj's like that one here.....

its just a warp around bench.....you can make it outta ply or solid glass....easy either way......

the hull extension thread will have the entire process of fabbing a wrap around bench system in it soon......(after gellcoat buffing...thats the next step....including building the bulkhead)

You're not alone, I've searched multiple times, I can't find any pictures or threads either. Outboard + Sundeck = Nothing relevant.

Just think of it like any framing project. Just use all pressure treated wood and frame out sun deck area with 2x3's and use 1/2 or 5/8" ply for the surfaces.

Be sure the existing structure is solid and has no rot, the floors, stringers and transom. Then your sun deck can lift giving access to large storage area.

Basically, everything with boats is custom.
