Adding brakes to a trailer- How much$$ ??

I have an aluminum dual axle trailer I use to pull my 23ft CC. This trailer had brakes but the previous owner removed them. How much would it cost in parts to re-install brakes in this trailer?

I am getting ready to do the same thing to my trailer. For 1 axle it is about 325.00 for 10" drums. I am also researching putting disk brakes on both axles.

Thanks for the response. I would probably go the disc route.

Anyone have a guestimate of what it would cost ?

Okay guys, I am currently doing the same thing to my 10 yr old EZLOADER trailer w/single axle.

It is currently in the shop getting the stuff done including rehabing the drum brakes.

You guys are mentioning replacing with discs. Why is that? Perhaps my trailer/boat combo weighing in right at 3000# has some benefit or disadvantage to discs. What do you all think?
