This inflatable does not come with oars. Paddles yes. Anybody out there have a solution? When I'm by myself, oars are much easier to use for river work than a paddle. Are there "patches" that are available to insert oarlocks into? Thanks. Ron

There are several ways to go, but each oarlock "system" for inflatables requires that you buy a particular style of oar. Only the Avon oarlocks will allow you to use a basic wooden oar (any old wooden oar), so you can buy the length that you would need for the wider Mercury 380.

Defender had them in stock. They are $40.00 each and you'll need two. Then you can buy cheap wooden oars to go in them.

You would need the glue on oar lock bases and the oars. The Mercury system would run you around $150.00 for all the stuff.

http://www.boatstogo.com/oar-locks.asp Best prices around and I'm not affiliated with them I'm just a Happy owner of a Saturn boat and for glue (if you want a good job) I recommend STA BOND you can order from NRS or if you have an WEST MARINE store in your town you can order there and save the shipping or you can use 3M 5200 I've never used it but I heard is good
