I have a 1981 Bayliner Victoria with a Volvo Penta Duoprop.
Its a mishmash of transom (A 280 I believe) upper (SP-A) and lower (duoprop)

I would like to add the hydraulic tilt setup to this outdrive. Does anyone know whats required for my setup and where I may be able to pick up the used parts?

A completely different transom shield. There are no "Add On" kits for trim on those drives. The 280PT shields and trim setup are almost impossible to find.
I converted my 280 (75 Vic) to a 290 DP. You need the exhaust Y as well for that swap, and cutout the transom bigger.

Re: Adding power tilt to my Volvo Penta 280

Thanks for the feedback Don,

I suspected as much. The reason for wanting to replace the mechanical tilt is that on my last outing I put power to the leg while tilted up and it bent the tilt sideways and cracked the transom shield. On my Vicky, there isnt any indicator for the tilt at all. Ive read now that there is a bulb indicator for 'tilt not down' but that is to little to late for me.
Seems to be a common problem and if I stick with the mechanical tilt I will add that and a buzzer.

I found a 280T setup in my searching. How does that stack up as a hydraulic tilt. I didnt find much in the way of references to it on the forum except that they had some issues. Does anyone know anything about it?

Also, is there a list somewhere or does anyone have a good collection of boat salvage yards where one may find parts?

For the 290DP conversion, it sounds like quite a project. Would that mean also a change to the leg or just the transom shield? Do you have any pics of the setup Don?

Thanks again for the reply
