Hey Guys,
just got my New HB 997c SI and the power cable is only 6ft long. I don't have anything to tie into under the console (that i know of--haven't checked yet--but i dont think i do--been raining alot everyday lately). Anyways someone had suggested i run some SO Wire to the battery and then place a fuse block under or around the console area and that way if i ever need to place more thing I have room. I am only wanting to place a 3amp fuse for the time being to protect the FF.
My question is
1. Is 12 gauge SO Cord the best wire to run for Marine Purposes or something like SJT?
2. If so then are there 12-15ft Cords sold that actually have Battery connections that are terminated for a battery?
3. Any suggestions on the Fuse Block---Blade or Glass---probably Blade?

btw--this is going on my 1997 Nitro Bass Boat 800 LXS.
Like I said i haven't even looked out under the tarp as it has been covered for winter--just getting prepared for Spring is all with my New TOY !!!
