Hello all,
Thanks so much for all the expert input. I am trying to get a 23 ft. 1977 Sleekcraft ready for the water. It has a Hardin Marine 460 Ford with a Jacuzzi Jet. It's been in the family for 25 years and has only about 200 hours on it. It is in pretty good shape considering the age. I need to install new exhuast thru the transom because the old aluminum ones were coroded thru. These are below the water line trumpet style. What adhesive should I use to seal them to the outside of the transom? I may need to remove them again someday. Also what adhesive should I use for the various transom penetrations, swim step, trim hoses, etc. I've read some of the forums on adhesives. 3M 5200 seams too permanent is 4200 right for this? or some other product?
Thanks
Karl
