I think it was QC that made a comment about my scumline :D

Well, we finally had a good spell of weather on Sunday and I managed to pull her out of the garage and give her a bath. She was lookin' reeeall purdy, so I snapped a few photos, better ones than what we're used to seeing.

Looks good, Sean. Wanna come and wash mine now? :p :D I just got mine out of storage Saturday. Just gotta wait for the lakes to thaw now. Have a few minor projects planned, but other than that, just a good bath and wax.

Hey Ron, don't know what EE used, but I use a product from 3M, it's called Marine Fiberglass, Restorer and Wax.
It will make them shine.

Re: Adios scumline...

:D Well, that was just a simple cleaning. I'm planning on knocking out the pesky oxidation with the Meguiars 3 step cleaner thingy. I can't wait to do that, she's going to gleam!

QC... My wife is heading to IKEA in 2 weeks. Last time I was there, I picked up a heavy mat that I set in the back of my Jeep to help reduce dog hair collection. I pulled that out yesterday and set it in the back of my boat - it looked decent. So, I think I'm going to have her pick up another one and I'm going to cut it to fit in that area in front of my engine cover.

After I do that... all I'll need to do is

1. Wash, Buff, Wax
2. Install VHF
3. Install new antenna bracket and re-wire the antenna.
4. Find a nice, neat place for all the Junk that goes in the boat.
5. Yank the old hull numbers and install new, white, easy-to-read numbers.
6. Summerize it...
7. Work on my tan :D

Optional Todo's:
1. Install new radio and speakers

Re: Adios scumline...

Pony - I saw that!!! I was in GB last weekend and travelled through Oshkosh and saw all that open water and thought to meself... "Dammn... why am I so far away from that right now :D " But then I saw a 16' fishin boat out on the water with what looked like a husband/wifey combo. Both were in their winter jackets bundled up and I thought... "ah, thats why" :D

FSHKPR - Yep, we're still heading up there memorial day weekend. I have been questioning whether or not it is worth me hauling my boat way the heck up there or not... The pond is less than one square mile in size and from looking at this map it looks like its a tricky lake to navigate. Lots of going from 10' to 1.5' in depth... At that time, I will only have gotten her wet 2 maybe 3 times.

But after much egging on from some people travelling up there with me, I decided to take her.

Sean
