Preparing to purchase a new sonar. My dilemma. I'm coming forward about 13 years with technology (i.e mapping, GPS, etc) and want to mount the unit on a swivel or adjustable mount that enables me to view the unit while motoring from the console, but once on site have the option to rotate for viewing when operating the trolling motor. Trying to avoid spending extra money for a second control head, know of no feasible solution for a water tight video monitor from which to feed a video output to and see no option beyond a side mount swivel bracket that would be attached to the side of the window console. Anyone know of a good mounting bracket that is durable, multi-adjustable and would work with a Humminbird 898 SI?

I used a "Ram Mount" for a chartplotter/fishfinder combo. Pretty adjustable and durable (had it for 4 years now).

good luck,

Thanks. Think I may have found the solution I'm looking for and it is from Ram Mount. Would yours be similar to the Ram Mount RAM-109V-1U or the RAM-109V-2U? From a durability sense I'm leaning toward the RAM-109V-1U model. Gives me a little more arm distance and mobility with what would appear a stable frame.
