I have a 2004 Tracker DV that has 2" Taper Lock or Wedge type fixed height pedestals. I would like to have a stand-up/leaner seat up front. So far I have only been able to find Taper Lock pedestals that raise to 29.5". I see Kingpin type pedestals that raise to 36". I'm almost 6' 5" and need the extra height. I've called Springfield and Swivel Eze with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm sure there are other people out there that are as tall or taller than me. Maybe there is a manufacturer that I'm not familiar with that makes a Taper Lock type system that adjusts to 36" or maybe there is a Taper Lock that accepts a Kingpin type pedestal to reach the desired height.

Nobody out there had or is having the same problem as me? I've seen adjustable pedestals on other boat manufacturers that looked to be either Taper Lock or Wedge style. I'm hoping that I can make something work. Thanks for any help.

Re: Adjustable Taper Lock/Wedge Type Pedestal for Stand-Up Seat

I've been looking or else I wouldn't have posted. Hard to believe that there a kingpin style pedestal adjusts to 36" but a taper lock style only adjusts to 29.5". I'm trying to find out if I anyone out there is having the same issue. Thought I could maybe go from a taper lock pedestal to a kingpin adjustable to get the extra height that I need, but didn't know whether or not it was possible.
