Hello.
It appears that I am going to have to raise the engine on my boat about three inches. The engine is a 130 pound 1957 35 horse sea horse.
The transom clamp can not be raised that much without running the risk of dropping the engine in the water.
Is there some smart adjustable invention on the market that can be attached to the transom and will allow me raise the engine this much, without dropping the engine overboard?
Thank you for your opinions and knowledge.
Cornelis.

Sounds like a manual jackplate is what you are looking for - it bolts on to your existing transom and provides additional height settings. You can find them at BPS or anywhere that sells boat motors. Be careful in that it can impact the handling of smaller boats due to it changing the weight distribution. I am assuming you have remote steering - don't know about using one on a tiller.
