Adjusting Carberator on 79model 80hp 4cyl

I just rebuilt both carberators on this old motor and I was curious about the adjustments. I backed the needle valve out 1.5 turns on both carb. This is how it was adjusted when I pulled them off. How do I know if they are set right? Are there any other adjustments that I need to be aware of? Thanks for the help.

Your good to go with that setting.<br />It is the factory setting. If it bogs out on take off turn each needle out 1/8 turn and try again. If not better adjust it open again. If it still doesn't work right check your carb job over. You should not need to do anyother adjustments.
