I've got an older single compound DeWalt miter saw that I discovered that that miter is seriously off to the right but is good to the left. Is there a way to bring it back without killing all the other settings? The 90 degree is within thousandths.

The fences on either side are normally adjustable. Check to see if there are screws to loosen. A pic would help or at least a model #

It's a model dw705, the fence is one piece across the saw. There are screws on either side of the fence. I believe they are for squaring the head. I'm thinking I may have to split the error right to left and then re-square the whole thing.

There should be a positive stop on each side of the saw , by the fence. It's a bolt that you should be able to screw in and out to adj.
I belive there are 2 more for the 45, not sure though

check the fence with a straight edge, then use a square to set vertical and lateral blade settings...
