Adjusting idle on 2014 Tohatsu 6HP?

My almost-brand-new 6HP Tohatsu "Sailpro" is a good motor 99.9% of the time ... except when I'm approaching a finger dock, in a high crosswind, and a strong cross current, in front of a crowd of people. THEN, at the worst possible instant, it will sometimes stall on me.

Can I just adjust the idle up a teeny little bit? If so, how is it done? Thanks in advance!

You can set the idle to whatever speed is required, by turning the throttle stop screw. Best to use a good shop tach to adjust it properly. Once fully warm, check idle RPM both in gear and in N. If too slow, and prone to stalling, you can increase to spec. If too fast, it will slam into gear.

Why not just throttle up a little, instead of forcing the motor all the way to idle?
