it is an aq125b looking at the plugs, looks a little lean,
when i apply the throttle it lurches a couple times. like sputters, ya know.
and when i shut it off, it kinda "puts" a few times before it finally shuts off.

what do you think?

Re: adjusting mixture

Full tuneup. New plugs, points, condenser, and rotor at least. Cap if corroded.
Add to that a compression test, setting the dwell using a dwell meter, not just gap the points, set the timing, check the advance timing, make sure the accelerator pump in the carb is working.
Set the idle rpm and see what happens.
One note, if the compression numbers are bad all the other parts are useless.
