How does one shift the bottom pin on a chrysler trim unit that is well n truly siezed in place, my trim unit is siezed I need to over haul it but can’t remove the pin, I want to kit the shock n ram while it’s apart, obviously dissimilar corrosion and maybe a lack of preventative greasing. My next option is to cut the shaft just inside the transom clamps drop it out that way and find another pin, I think I’ll ream the mounting holes out fit nylon sleeves, add a couple of grease points to the outer edges of the trim unit so I can pump it full of grease, do the same on the tilt ram and shock, I do t like the idea of beating the hell out of the shaft with a hammer and mushrooming the end of the pin, I tried tapping it with a copper hammer but it’s jammed tight.

The pin is a MF to remove.
HEAT!!! and lots of it.
Then the rubber/seals in the unit will need to be replaced.

I heat, spray with PB Blaster, cool down, tap gently with a brass hammer, repeat a couple hundred times.

The transom clamps come off fairly easy(compared to the rest) remove them but don't cut off unless absolutely needed??
