I just purchased a 83 bayliner capri from a friend of mine. Its in mint condition and everythign is running well. But my question is, I am taking it out for the first time tomorrow and would love to hear some advice. I know to take it easy on the engine and not to over heat it to much but is there anything else i should know. I took a boating class to learn the dos and donts of lake operation so i should be good with that aspect. I just want to get the first time out of the way before i take the family out. Thanks guys

Re: Advice

If you're trailering Double check the plug and practice backing up in a parking lot with some cones or in a field to get a feel for how the boat backs BEFORE you try it at the ramp!
