Hello there. I am looking to get my first boat and am on a tight budget. Searching on Craigslist, I found a 12 foot aerocraft and trailer forsfor Owner doesn't know the model. I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify it. I found another website with lots of information, but didn't see a boat that looks like this one. Also, I know it's hard to say, but even a range for it's value would be appreciated. I really like vintage things and this old boat struck my fancy. Anything I should look out for? My son and I trash picked (and got running) a 9.9 hp motor. Will that get this boat up on plane? Thanks in advance for any and all help

Looks like she was originally set up for a steering wheel, the walk thru seat is the clue.

Gonna take a bit of doing to rig it up for a tiller operated motor, seating and access to the motor for starting.

A 9.9 should get her to plane easily.
Relatively new trailer compared to the boat.

Not sure where you are located, or what your budget is, but we love to find boats for other members, especially since we are not the ones spending the money.

So, where you located, and maybe someone can suggest other options for you.

Thanks for the quick response. I am located in NE PA in the Pocono Mountains. Going to show my ignorance... Would it be too difficult to just reach over the seat to steer the boat? Well, I just had to put a new roof on the house, so budget is pretty meager. Really looking to spend $700 or less on boat and trailer. Thanks again for your help

I'm guessing that there's a bench under those seats in the back correct? If so, remove the seats as it'll be easier to use the tiller to steer the boat...and remove some un-needed weight in the process as well.

As mentioned above a 9.9 in good working order should be fine for that size of boat. Assuming you're on protected waters you should be fine in a 12' boat.

That one has been re-rigged for tiller steer - so your 9.9 outboard would be driven from the back seat. You and two kids should be fine in that boat, but it weight distribution will be important. I would think that setup should sell for $700, but it's hard to say by pictures - and I'm kinda' a cheapskate.

Are there oarlocks on it?

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, I believe there is a bench in the back and that the wood can be removed,. I will clarify... My son is 6'3" and 180#. I am 6'3" 200#. There would probably only be three if it were my son and two of his friends. He is the largest in his friends group. Well, to date the seller hasn't responded to my email. Might not be getting this boat anyway. Any recommendations on a stable boat for fishing? Again, thanks for the help
