Hi everybody, it's been a while since I have posted about my merc troubles. I have a 1979 200 Merc that had the #2 piston disintegrate and fuse to the head. I have decked the head 0.010" at my tool & die shop on a CNC mill and then ground the surface clean on a surface grinder. The head looks great and I was glad I could salvage it.<br />I know that solicitation is not allowed on this site, but I am stumped. Does anybody know where I can search/locate a 0.020" over bore piston and con rod for a 1979 200 BM? They aren't available from my local Merc dealer anymore. The engine had already been punched out 0.020" before I got it... Apparently..... Is there an aftermarket source for these things?<br />Any help/direction would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!<br /><br />FOOTER
