aftermarket exhaust manifolds

i am replaceing my manifolds and risers on a volvo bb 225 inboard with osco manifolds and risers.
and i am wondering if i should use some type of sealer on riser gasket because no instructions where
included in manifold kit.engine is a mid 1980 model bb 225.

I used permatex copper spray a gasket on my osco manifolds and risers. Make sure u clean the paint off the gasket mating surfaces
