Aftermarket Keyless Entry Question

I'm interested in putting this on my '06 Grand Caravan. It has power locks, but no automatic doors or tailgate. I was wondering how difficult it is to install. My next step was to see how much the units cost at NAPA ect. Thanks in advance for any comments. Jeff

It's not hard to do. If you have basic wiring skills and can read destructions, you should have no trouble. Personally, I'd try researching outfits like:

BTW, avoid the simple twist and tape method of connecting wires. Use crimp connectors and solder all connections as needed.

Since it is an 06.... I would expect all the wiring is in place from the factory. It is usually the same harness regardless of the trim level.

Knowing the way car manufacturers do business I would also guess the module is the same for most recent years.

Check with the parts department and do some research on the part numbers.

You might be able to visit a junk yard and get a module from a wrecked vehicle. The remotes are available on ebay and the only thing you might have to do is get the remotes programed at a dealer (if required).

What you are looking for is the Body Control Module.

I would check with the dealer it may just be you need to get 2 key fobs and have them program the body control module. like said previously most likely everything is there
