Did OMC offer an air cooled 4-5H.P. In the 70's or 80's. I need something to push a canoe without the need for water pick-up to cool.

The air cooled OMC's were Lawnboys. They ran a very large diameter blade but always did better at home than on the water for some reason.

Oh, and the Aquabouy. They did OK on the water but werent very fast. It was like they were full of (hot) air.

Seriously, I dont remember one. How about the new Briggs and Stratton outboard?

Coast Guard requires water cooling in the exhaust. All aircooled outboards have water pump impellers.

You could always get something like my old 1946 Lauson. It's 4 cycle and air cooled. And no impeller to change either.
