Hey guys, I have an old Airguide Tach that I am hoping to use in my restoration of a Slickcraft. The old engine was a 80hp Johnson w/ coil ignition and the engine I will be running is a 75hp w/ magneto.

The gauge is a P-6487 and I am not sure about the sender. I think I have identified the wires on the sender as:

Red
Green
Yellow
Black
Gray?

All these years seem to have faded the color on the cloth covering of the wires.

Will I be able to use this tach with my magneto ignition?

Thanks

The number found on the face of the gauge e.g., P‐XXXX appears to indicate the face printing design and has no bearing on the gauge model.

Ughh. Well there is 7 FG stamped on the back of the gauge and the sender both in yellow. There is also a sticker on the gauge reading:
G 55685 or
C 55685
