Re: Airguide tach wiring?
I have an unused Airguide Series 20 Model 2030 that was for the 1980-82 60HP with 5 Amp Alternator and 1977-79 55HP with 5 Amp Alternator.

The reason that I am answering is that I have the instructions and they may be of some help.

As expected, the rectifier display is of an unregulated 4 wire, common at the time.

The tach has a black wire and a yellow wire.

The Tach Yellow Wire was connected with the yellow and grey or yellow and blue wire from the rectifier at the terminal block. If you have a control, a grey wire for a tach may already run from this point to the control where you could also connect.

The black wire went to the engine ground.

A separate light fixture was included with these tachs, with its own two wires, but it was not necessary for operating the tach.

If your Airguide Tach has fixed wiring of Black and Yellow, it most likely will work in the same way.
