In a couple of weeks i hope to be visiting your beautiful state, i have a dear friend that fishes on lake Weedowee (sp).
Where is Marion in relations to birmingham, Gadsden or Anniston ?
Interesting. I used to work for a Tier II Hyundai supplier. We made the head/taillights for the cars built in Montgomery. Hyundai and Kia are frequently in the headlines here, Mercedes farther north.
Bring the boat, you won't regret it! You've got Neely Henry Lake just minutes south of Gadsden, supposed to to be the best crappie fishing in the state. Lake Guntersville is to the North, it's huge on the bass tournament circuits. Weiss Lake is to the east, another great lake. My stomping ground, Lake Martin, is about 2 hours away.
Do 'ya like flea markets? Maybe you heard of MountainTop Flea Market? It is a short drive from Gadsden, out Highway 278 from Attala. Open every Sunday, year-round. However, now is the time to go. The regulars with the good stuff start coming out of winter hiding, and before the real heat of summer. Trust me

It would be my pleasure to take a Canuck out for a day of fishing. My wifer is Canadian, so I speak a little of the language... poutine, back bacon...BEER!!!
