I have around a 93 model 90hp NS90 nissan 2 stroke motor that the alarm is going off. Tell tale port is pumping water and there is plenty of oil in it. The alarm is going off anytime it is in gear even while the motor is not running. Ive seen the online owners manual from Nissan and it says what to do in this case if no water is being pumped out but not exactly what to do if it is. ( http://www.nissanmarine.com/tech_talk/pdf_files/Nis60C_70C_90A_120A2_140A2.pdf ) pg 63. Hard for me to gauge rpms by looking at it but it certainly isnt running wide open.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have the same motor only a few years older. I had this same problem and found that the water pressure sensor could be backed off slightly to silence the horn. If you have not done your waterpump lately, I would do that in short order because mine failed later in the year after backing this off.

Wow, spot on!!! You rock!!! No more alarm. I adjusted it so that its off but if pressure drops any more it should sound again. Looks like Ill be ordering a water pump kit soon. Thanks!!!!

Doing the waterpump is pretty easy with the exception of the springpin on the shift rod. You will need a small punch to get it out.. I did mine in the water so it is no big deal.
