Ok- I cleaned my carburetors out, cleaned the oil filter, cleaned the fuel filter, cleaned spark plugs, put new fuel line on. Now a buzzer is going off. Checked my trouble shooting list and WTF? Can someone tell me what I should do or try? I really would like to fix this myself but I have almost no experience with boat motors. Help!

Re: Alarm going off

On my 115 Yamaha I have a red wire near my oil reservoir mounted on the motor. It has a plug connector right by the oil reservoir, that is the wire for the alarm for low oil. If you have a similar thing, you can try unplugging that wire and see if the alarm stops. If so then you either have problem with the oil level sensor or the oil control unit.

Don't just unplug the alarm and think it's fixed!

Re: Alarm going off

It is better to keep everything in one thread, instead of starting new ones each time.
Now you get to start all over again tell everyone what motor you have ,the history of the motor, and what all you have done to the motor along with what your questions are.

What were you doing when the alarm went off?

What oil filter did you clean?
