Alarm went off

We are purchasing a 1992 evenrude V4 . The alarm went off - the motor seems to idle well. Blue smoke seems to be coming out of the exhaust so oil is burning well. The water stream seems to be a little weak. Would this cause the alarm to go off? Also, the boat was very low on fuel - could that cause the alarm to go off. Thank you for your input.

low oil alarm is a beep every 30 seconds. beep......................beep...................

no oil alarm is a beep every 1/2 second or so.beep,beep,beep

overheat alarm is a constant beep.beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Thank you ,
It was the continuous alarm sound.We shut the engine off and brought it to a marine mechanic.As I stated in my post the week stream coming out concerned me.
