Alarm? Without the oil injection pump...

My motor (listed below) has had the oil pump removed and is now running off of pre-mix... My question is, when the pump was disabled or now removed will that prevent the alarm system from running it's diagnostic check (beep when the key is turned on)? The Alarm works when I ground out the overheat sensor but that's it, I want to make sure it is operational at all times.
Or maybe a better question is, what could have been done to the alarm to keep it from going off all the time when the pump was disabled (which the previous owner did)? I don't see any cut wires anywhere near the pump...

Re: Alarm? Without the oil injection pump...

The key-up alarm is run through the warning module. With the oil pump removed and the oil warning system disabled, there is no need for the module so it has been removed. You no longer have a key up alarm. If you get an alarm when you short the temp sender to ground, then the warning system is working properly. Hope this helps!

Happy boating! :D
