Alarm Wont Stop

i have a Volvo Penta 4.3 GL_d. 190Hp

2006 Seaswirl Fish and Sjki. Bought in October and everything fine, except stereo. Took it out of storage and fired it up last weekend to a screaming alarm under the dash that will not go off. High pitched and constant beep. All fluids, pressure and temp are fine. had a mechanic friend check over every fuse and every sensors with a tester and all seems well. When we ran it up on shore, we accidentally discovered that when you start it, alarm is there, then put in gear and into reverse and the alarm slowly fades toa barely audible. Sometimes it went away. took it on the water and same thing. it seems with it is put in reverse a few times, it goes away.

am i going crazy?

There are only 4 switches that will sound the alarm, all have a tan/black striped wire going to each.
Low oil pressure, high engine coolant temp, and high temp exhaust with a switch in the top of each exhaust elbow.

Why it changes in gear and different with shifting and throttle, have no clue. But I think it's time to start checking all connection that they are clean and tight.
