Re: alarm

The easy way to test the VRO pump alarm is to use the stainless steel plyers that a doctor uses to clamp off a blood vein without crushing the vein, clamp off the oil line, start and run engine at idle, make take 45-60 seconds, alarm should sound, release clamp, pump should pickup oil and alarm should stop sounding in about 10-15 seconds. Overheat, ground tan lead at sensor to block, alarm should sound, this test does not test sensor. To test overheat sensor, hot water and temp probe, temp sensor will close at 180, 203,227, 240 depending on trace color on sensor pigtail.
