Alarms Oil & Temp.

I have a 1996 Evinrude 115 4 cyc 2 stroke with an OMC controller. I just put the motor on the boat. I cut the oil mix line & plugged it so I can mix gas & oil myself. I hooked the wires for the gauge & temp. When I run the motor for about 5 to 10 minutes the alarm goes off, it is a single beep not a double each time. The motor is not hot. It has the correct oil & gas mix. What would be the possible answer to this?? I would appreciate some input a.s.a.p.

Thank you.

Re: Alarms Oil & Temp.

First you need to post in the Evinrude forum.Just a guess what ever senses
proper oil despensing is going off.Once you post in the Evinrude section I'm sure the experts can tell you what the tone is and can help.

You didn't unhook the plug under the injection pump. The beep is giving you an oil alarm. It doesn't know you unhooked the tank.
