Alignment tool . . . Universal or Specific Dimensions??

I will be pulling the Alpha 1 Gen II outdrive off of my boat this weekend, to check gimbal bearing and bellows, I was curious about the alignment tool. Is there a certain size alignment tool I need, or are they pretty much all universal?
