alittle help please '77 55 evinrude telltale install

OK I would like to install one. I've read the forums, printed off the threads but I wanna double check to make sure I'm drilling into the right area .. if I screw it up then I'm not getting a new motor! .. uploading from my phone.

It looks fine. I just drilled a hole for my tell-tale in the same location.

Thanks! just dont wanna mess it up.. one wrong spot and it could be a disaster.. figured id make a circle where i think it should go and see what everyone thought.. is there anything in that area i could possiably mess up? i dont have anyone in my area that i know to be able to look at it and give an opinion
