Alpha 0ne I/O prop question

I've got a 96 SeaRay With a v-6 and alpha outdrive. I replaced the aluminum prop with a SS. I notice the blades on the SS prop are not as large as the aluminum ones. Whats the difference Does the blade size make a diff if its the same size and pitch?

Just a different manufacturer.
My alum (17p) has more blade surface than my SS also, and the SS is 2" taller in pitch.
I also have a Michigal Wheel prop, that could move the QE2, because the blades are so big.
