Alpha 1 - 5.0L - Idles fine, runs WOT fine for a short time then stalls.

My alpha 1 - 5.0L idles all day without issue, but when I take it out to really run it, she runs great for 10 or 15 seconds then tries to stall. If I bring it back to idle quickly enough it idles great.

My first thought is fuel filter or water sep filter. Before I drop it back in the water - (I'm 20 minutes away from no-wake zone) should I check anything else?

Sounds more like a clogged vent or pickup tube in the tank.
Here is a How To, on how to test the boats fuel system for air leaks or plugged fittings etc.

Ayuh,... My guess is water in the fuel....

Pull the filter, 'n check it's contents...

Problem solved!! Thanks for the help!
I took the fuel pickup tube out of the tank and found the anti-siphon valve attached between the fuel hose and the tube was corroded. I took it out and put a brass fitting in its place and changed the water-separator / filter. I just got back from 3 hours on the water and it ran great!

Ayuh,... Now go get a new Anti-siphon valve....
It's an important Safety feature that should be in-place....
