OK....last question, I promise. In bringing this abused boat back from the dead I'm gonna drop in a new impeller just for fun. I currently have the drive off (see my prior question regarding bellows replacement!) Is it easier to replace the impeller with the drive removed from the boat, or with the drive installed on the boat? Since I'm lacking a hoist and just using careful balancing and and a mild hernia to support it, I presume mounting it on the boat would be beneficial. OR should I just lay this thing down on the ground and tear it apart on the shop floor? I'm trying to be efficient in my chaos!

Thanks (hopefully) for the last time. Over & out.

remount the drive if you dont have a stand for the drive. wrassling it on the floor is a beast. once remounted the lower is easy to remove.
