I have a 1987 ebbtide campoine with the 5.7 260hp engine, and a alpha 1 out drive. The problem I found when summerizing the boat last weekend was a very low power steering fluid level. The last outing of the year I had to stop at a marina and add fluid as I was hearing the pump whining. The are no signs of fluid loss in the bilge or the out drive. I did run it on the muffs to clear the fogging oil and I did not notice any oily discharge in the water exiting the exhaust. any ideals about where the fluid is going?
Yes I did witerize the boat and I did drain the water line to the power steering oil cooler.
