Anybody know how to remove the three boots on the Alpha 1 Gen II Outdrive without removing the engine ,and the tramson plate. I have two of them that are thirdteen years old and leaking.

There is no need to remove the engine to change the boots.
go to the adults section and download the manual for the drive.

Gotta remove the drive. cut the old bellows off for easier access.

There are access holes for a long thin screwdriver to remove the hose clamps. I drill them larger to fit 1/4" drive 5/16" socket and extension. makes it a lot easier. I even drill new holes to position the hose clamps at a better angle.

Get the tube instead of the bellows for the exhaust.

Thanks alot, when the rain stops coming down in buckets today I'll see if I can remove the old ones.
