hello all, i need help. i was given a 1986 regal 185 bowrider with merc 140/alpha one setup. i noticed the topmost bellows is torn on the outdrive . is it an easy job or something left for a pro? <br />any help would greatly be appreciated.

Personally I would leave it to a pro.There are a few other things that should be done when it is apart to that extent,like a new shift cable and the other 2 bellows and water tube.The gimbal bearing should be checked as well.Charlie

Rob<br />Topmost bellow is your u-joints bellow. <br />As Charlie said, I would leave it to a pro as well. DO NOT USE YOUR BOAT UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. <br />All other bellows should be inspected for cracks.<br />As Charlie suggested, gimbal should be checked. <br />Also, you will have to check u-joints.<br />Good luck.
