alpha drive?

thinking about reproppinig with a mercury spitfire prop........what does the term alpha drive refer to? I am running a 1980 40 horse mercury thanks in advance for any info

Ayuh,.... It's the smaller outdrives from Mercruiser,....

It uses the same props as the large gear case outboards, the Big outboards,....

4, 3/4" gear cases,.... won't fit yer little outboard,...
