hello guys , want to change my gen 2 u joint bellows, after i found water in when i haul the boat for the winter. the water cost the gimbal bearing to get rusted up also, after searching the site i relalize it is a pain in the butt job and it is best to just change all the bellows shift cable and bearing at the same time.
now this is my ?? how much u think a mechanic would charge to do the job?? just want to have a idea, thanks much.

Probably a regular menu item at your local boat repair place. Maybe a $300 to $500 deal? Is that Brooklyn, NY? I do it myself, but I'd guess you can get it done nowadays during the off season a little cheaper. In April, May & June you'll have to get in line to pay $700 or $800 for the same job. Search around and find someone you are comfortable with.
You might also need the universal joints serviced too, depends on how wet they got.
