alpha one 1 trim problem

i fix rotten boat,now ,I have all parts attached again. but trim is not go up, only when i use trailer button then its go up.
and trim gauge is not working any more. i think i have problem whit wires, I accidentally cut black one trim wires and i dount now how they were.whether it is relevant how they are, if the sensor measures only the ohms ?

There are 2 sensors on the outdrive.

The trim gauge sensor is resistance (starboard side of outdrive). The trim limit is a contact switch and prevents the outdrive from being raised too far.

It will be tricky to figure out which set of wires is for the gauge and which is for the limit switch. An ohm meter could do the trick though.

When you cut the wires, what was your plan to re-connect them?

wire was not meant to be cut off =(,
but only trim limit wire was cut off
can something break up if you try to change the trimlimit wire pair in the other way round.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... The trim limit switch is either open, or closed,.....

The gauge sender varies resistance to ground,....

It sounds like yer trim limit switch is not in the wirin' circuit, causin' yer problem,....
