So for the second time in 4 years my anode situated behind the prop thrust washer on exhaust outlet has fallen to pieces and came loose. It’s happened twice now.
The anode isn’t in bad shape really. Just that it’s gone thin exactly in the same place as last time. Where the two stainless bolts hold it down, on the lugs. Seems a bad design or that they are too thinly made at the lugs ?
fresh water.

Anyone else find the same ?

Sounds like they are doing their job and anodes don't always erode evenly.

Maybe change the new ones in 3 years?

Mmm. They are doing their job...but maybe not helped by the thin lugs that wear way before the rest of it attached to the stainless bolts. So much more life left in them. Just they have thinned and snapped at the lugs
