Alpha one gen 1 mercruiser noise

I just had the mechanic service my outdrive. Impeller, gear lube, check gimbal bearing and u joints. A week later, a clunking/knocking sound appeared. The noise seemed to be coming from the front of the drive by the shaft. Cant upload the video. File too big.

How old are the gimbal and U joints, has there ever been water in the main bellow and was there water in the drive
or the mechanic improperly/ forgot to fill the drive with oil

Agree, pull the top plug first to see if its full or see anything which gives concern. Then pull drain plug out just a bit to see if you have clean lube

I will meet with him tomorrow and he will check our the noise. Hopefully he can fix the annoying noise.
