alpha one gen 2 no reverse

Hi guys,
I have nercruiser 4.3 with alpha one gen 2. Today I lost reverse for some reason. I already tried to debug and what I did is that I removed the shift cable from the housing (next to carb) and I tried to push and pull the cable directly with my hands. It shifts well into forward but not to reverse. Anu ideas what could be the broblem? Have I lost my geara or could it be something else? Lower cable maybe?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... My 1st guess is the lower shift cable,...

Pull the drive, 'n make sure that end of things are workin' properly,...
