Alpha One Gen Two Speedometer Failure

Hello!<br /><br />Replaced impeller on lower unit of 3.0 Alpha One Gen Two (2001). Speedometer was working and now doesn't work at all. I didn't see a tube when removing lower unit. Was there a tube I missed? Or something else? <br /><br />Thanks!

Yes, you have unpluged the tube ck at the front of the unit by the stud that attaches to the gear hsg.

Thanks. Can I plug tube back on with boat in water (assuming I can find tube) or do I have to pull the boat? Thanks again.

I see no need to remove from the water if you can find and reach it. Just tilt the drive up, then plug it in and give it a partial turn to lock it in place.

if you can find it and it did not get broken when the lower was dropped you can plug it in in the water. most times I found if I forget to disconnect the speedo connector on the lower and drop it anyway, it breaks. yes I have broken one or two over the years.

I broke a dozen or more... all of them back in 1991/92. Got a thick head... ya know...
