I just finished taking my gimbal off for paint and servicing. Upon inspection I noticed there is a lot of corrosion inside the water passage hole. Should this hole be come shaped and even throughout or should it open up after about an inch before narrowing down to the house diameter? I'm trying to determine how much damage has been done over the years and if it will affect cooling performance or cause any issues? If there widening isn't supposed to be there I may clean it out with af disc and build up a new job weld wall.
The gasket surface looks decent. I attached a few pics so you can see in sheet about an inch it opens up to the right a lot more.
Any thoughts?
