Alpha one outdrive

I took u-joint section out of the housing today to change the carrier seal. The bearings in side the upper outdrive section, are they lubed with the outdrive fluid or do you put grease in them like a wheel bearing?

outdrive gear oil, did you find 2 spacers between the bearings?

I didn't separate the bearings. I undid the nut slid the shaft out changed the seal and the o ring and put it back together. I was getting oil into the bellow
