Alpha One run w cracked exhaust bellows?

1986 Mercruiser 260 Alpha One. I have bad exhaust bellows. I don't really have time right now to replace. I have to pull the whole stern drive, right?<br /><br />Is there any harm in running as is?

A leaking exhaust bellows will harm nothing -<br />except your hearing.<br />To replace bellows - pull outdrive and buy <br /> -- exhaust bellows expander and pulling tool -<br />any marine parts supply store $30 -<br />The tool will make a hard job easy.<br />Go to marineparts.com and they will show<br />you how for free.

Yo Peepers- exactly which bellows is leaking-the large upper or the smaller lower ??? A ruptured upper bellows can sink ya' !!
