Alpha One trim hoses

The crimps on my trim hoses finally corroded away. Funds are a bit tight (surprise) so I'm wondering if there are other options, i.e. braided auto brake lines? Also, if I plug the hydraulic ports on the bottom of the stern drive, can I still run the boat for a few days without trim?

My boat is a 22' Sunesta, on a boat lift, saltwater use exclusively.

Check ebay... they are looking pretty cheap. Not sure about the brake line idea... they might run you more. I would think that you could run with the trim plugged as long as you don't need it... for trailering etc.
